Charting Asia's Transformation to Sustainable Development

Hailed as one of the top three most influential economists globally, the world-renowned expert in economics, Professor Jeffrey Sachs visited SMU to deliver an engaging and insightful lecture under the Presidential Distinguished Lecturer Series on Wednesday, 1 November 2017.

As a strong advocate and global leader in sustainable development, Professor Sachs passionately emphasised the need for Asia’s successful transformation towards sustainable development during his lecture. He also highlighted a number of realistic issues that Singapore and Asia will have to address, before true transformation can take place.
